How does the Job Club work?

It provides a range of facilities to support participants gain employment including:
  • Job seeking skills
  • One to One Guidance
  • Support and advice in sourcing jobs
  • Resource centre
  • Up to date information and support on accessing government funded initiatives

Resource Centre:

The Centre is open to everyone and provides the following facilities:
  • Computers and photo copying
  • Access to the internet & E-mail for job seeking purposes including assistance in using eg: FÁS/DSP and other recruitment websites.
  • Guidance with developing Curriculum Vitae and Covering Letters.
  • Assistance in completing application forms.
  • Browsing through the recruitment sections of local newspapers
All job club services are free of charge

Course Information

The aim of the course is to provide participants with the ability, knowledge and job seeking skills that will enable them to obtain employment or progress to further training and education.

The job club courses offer support and mentoring in the following:

  • Curriculum Vitae’s
  • One to One guidance and mentoring
  • Letters of application
  • Interview skills
  • Application forms
  • Alternatives to employment Goal seeking & action planning
  • Analysing job advertisement
  • Teamwork
  • Communication skills
Participants work together, share their experiences and explore work/training /educational options
Applicants must have reached the current statutory school leaving age and have an interest in obtaining employment
