World Menopause Day is held every year on the 18th October. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of the menopause and the support options available for improving health and wellbeing
Earlier this year Sligo LEADER Partnership ran a series of workshops on Menopause hosted by Catherine O’Keefe – Wellness Warrior. Menopause for every woman will be different, and has an impact on our physical and mental wellbeing, and our personal and working relationships.
Talking about the menopause matters. Normalizing conversation about the menopause reduces an individual’s sense of isolation and having to suffer in silence, which can go a long way to lift mood and boost mental well-being. For a list of Menopause supports in Sligo click here
