Introduction to Menopause
Menopause matters to everyone, and whether you’re male or female, 21 or 51, it’s worth spending a few minutes reading on. After all, over 50% of the population in Ireland are women. Menopause for every woman will be different, and has an impact on our physical and mental wellbeing, and our personal and working relationships.
Talking about the menopause matters. Normalizing conversation about the menopause reduces an individual’s sense of isolation and having to suffer in silence, which can go a long way to lift mood and boost mental well-being
The workshop will cover what happens in your body, what the symptoms are, what to look out for etc.
- Where can you get help?
- What options are available to you?
- How to assess supports in your local community?
Each workshop will have a Questions and Answers at the end.
The workshop host is
Catherine O’Keeffe, Wellness Warrior
Ireland’s first menopause coach and corporate speaker
When a woman goes through the menopause, the symptoms can have a devastating effect on her work life, social life, and relationships. I help women feel empowered and at ease in their bodies by giving them the support they need to take control of their lives and navigate the menopause.
