C.E Supervisor

Job Title: Community Employment Supervisor  
Reporting To: CEO
Employer: Sligo LEADER Development Company
Main Purpose of Role: ·   The Community Employment Supervisor will ensure the effective & efficient management and co-ordination of the human, financial & material resources of the Community Employment Scheme and report to the CEO and the sponsor board on its implementation. The CE Supervisor will support and coach CE participants towards gaining the skills, competences and qualifications in preparation for employment.

 

Conditions of Work: ·  CE Supervisor will be required to work 39 hours a week.  A probationary period of at least 6 months will apply. This is a Permanent, Full Time role subject to continual funding by the Department of Social Protection.  Main base will be Sligo LEADER Development Company.
Main Duties
  ·   Manage and supervise the operation of the Community Employment Scheme

·   Co-ordinate the recruitment of CE applicants in accordance with the Department’s CE recruitment and referral process

·   Co-ordination of the programme on a day to day basis:

o   To provide co-ordination, support and supervision for the participants

o   To source training and employment opportunities for the participants

o   To provide coaching and interview preparation for participants

o   To develop Individual Development Learning Plans for each participant

o   Provide access to vocational training and recognised qualifications, including working towards a Major Award on the National Framework of Qualifications or an Industry related equivalent

o   Plan and Co-ordinate approved work schedules and ensure annual contracts of employment are in place for all participants.

o   Communicate effectively with all participants

·   Developing core accredited modules of training and sourcing tutors for the training aspect of the programme

·   Effect policy in relation to best practice employment of CE participants

·   Ensure the implementation of all up to date legislation in policies regarding employment of CE participants

·   Ensure the provision of an efficient financial and accounting system in line with CE governance:

o   Ensure financial returns i.e. wage claims, material claims and participant development grant claims meet the required standards

o   Ensure prompt and accurate payment of participant allowances

o   Ensure implementation of systems controlling the operation of all finances as direction by the Sponsor Board

·   Manage effective time keeping record system

·   Provide a safe & healthy environment for participants, both in terms of facilities and work practices

·   Develop an exit plan with participants identifying follow-up and after care supports as required

·   Liaise with the DSP office as required

·   Attend team meetings and training where required.

·   Any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Core Competencies/Skills & Knowledge  
1 Language skills Fluency in English both written and oral.
2 Interpersonal  skills Positive, empathetic, individual with proven ability to develop efficient relationships with multiple stake holders. Strong influencer with capacity to coach, mentor and direct vulnerable individuals and job-seekers.
3 Communication Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to draft reports and correspondence.
4 Organisational Skills Be self-motivated, pro-active and able to work independently as well as in team in line with the CE operational procedures.
5 Knowledge Detailed knowledge of the area of employment, enterprise and/or career guidance. Knowledge of employment supports and services available to long term unemployed people. A realistic picture of labour market job skill requirements. A well-grounded understanding of basic counselling and guidance concepts in the labour market sense.
  ‘Other’ Full Clean Driving Licence with access to a car

Consent to be Garda vetted

  Core Competencies  
Desirable Experience ·         Previous supervisory and people management experience relevant to post (minimum of 3 years)

·         Previous experience in administration, project management and/or training.

Required Qualifications  ·         Major Award at NFQ Level 6 or higher in Business/Financial Administration, Training, Human Resources, Project Management or related disciplines.
Salary In line with the CE salary scale

Clerical/Procurement Officer (F/T)

Job Title: Clerical/Procurement Officer   
Reporting To: Administrator
Employer: Sligo LEADER Development Company
Main Purpose of Role: ·   The Clerical Procurement Officer will ensure all required materials and resources are ordered in a timely manner ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

 

Conditions of Work: ·  Clerical Procurement Officer will be required to work 35 hours a week.  A probationary period of at least 6 months will apply. This is a Permanent, Full-Time role subject to continual funding by the Department of Social Protection.  Main base will be Sligo LEADER Development Company.
Main Duties
  ·   Compiles requests for supplies, raises and processes procurement requests and purchase orders in line with relevant policies and procedures

·   Liaises with suppliers regarding material requests and quotations.

·   Liaises with all departments/programmes regarding procurement needs and gives advice to staff members in relation to purchasing processes and payment of invoices

·   Provides administrative support and contributes to the implementation of continuous improvement of the procurement function

·   Provides administrative support to the Company Administrator and any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

·   Attend team meetings and training where required.

Core Competencies/Skills & Knowledge  
1 Language skills Fluency in English both written and oral.
2 Interpersonal  skills Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
3 Communication Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with staff and suppliers alike.
4 Organisational Skills Well-developed time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and maintain strict deadlines, working effectively withing a team.
5 Knowledge Good understanding of procurement and purchasing processes.
  Core Competencies  
Desirable Experience ·       Previous experience working in a purchasing/finance role. (minimum of 1 year)

·       Previous experience in an administrative environment

·       Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a computerised finance or purchasing system and other software applications, including Microsoft office.

Desirable Qualifications  ·       Major Award at NFQ Level 6 or higher in Business/Financial Administration
Salary Commensurate with experience

Community Car Transport Driver

Job Title:  Community Car Transport Driver 
Reporting To:  CEO 
Employer:  Sligo LEADER Partnership Company CLG  
Main Purpose of Role: 
  • The Community Car Transport Driver will provide a dedicated transport service for Ukrainian individuals who have been offered temporary accommodation in rural locations of County Sligo under the ‘OfferAHome’ appeal to essential services as agreed in the Service Level Agreement between Sligo LEADER Partnership Company and Sligo County Council.  

 

Conditions of Work: 
  • Community Car Transport Driver will be required to work 17.5 hours a week. Hours of work will be between Monday – Friday 8am till 7pm and Saturday 9am till 1pm.  A probationary period of at least 3 months will apply. This is a Fixed Term, Part Time role, with immediate start until December 31st 2023.  Main base will be Sligo LEADER Development Company.  

 

Main Duties 
 
  • Works closely with the Clerical Officer for Ukrainian Support to ensure that the community car transport service is delivered efficiently and effectively.  
  • Keeps detailed records of trips undertaken. 
  • Displays respect, courtesy and a considerate approach to service users, assisting with loading and unloading of luggage and/or assisting service users in and out of vehicle if required.  
  • Ensures confidentiality in respect of service users and nature of trips undertaken.  
  • Adheres to the Rules of the Road and all statutory requirements related to driving vehicles, leased or owned by SLPC.  
  • Drives safely and with consideration for passengers, ensuring that seatbelt regulations are conformed to.  
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the vehicle daily both internally and externally.  
  • Carries out daily vehicle maintenance checks and reports any issues/defects to the Line Manager.  
  • Reports immediately any incident/accident involving the vehicle or passengers to SLPC.  
  • Is personally responsible for any traffic or parking violations while in charge of the vehicle.  
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.   
  • Attend team meetings and training where required.  

 

Core Competencies/Skills & Knowledge    
1  Interpersonal skills  

 

Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with vulnerable people.  
2  Customer Service Skills   Strong Customer service skills 
3  Organisational Skills  Well-developed time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to a set schedule.  
4  Language Skills   Ability to communicate easily in English.  
     
Desirable Experience  
  • Previous experience in transport would be advantageous.  
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role preferred.  
Essential Qualifications   
  • A full, clean B Category Driving Licence is essential (no penalty points, accidents/claims or convictions) and must be eligible to drive in Ireland.  
  • Garda Vetting will apply.  

 

Salary  
  • €17,180

Clerical Officer - Ukrainian Supports (P/T)

Job Title:  Clerical Officer – Ukrainian Supports  
Reporting To:  CEO 
Employer:  Sligo LEADER Partnership Company CLG  
Main Purpose of Role: 
  • The Clerical Officer – Ukrainian Supports will co-ordinate a dedicated transport service for Ukrainian individuals who have been offered temporary accommodation in rural locations of County Sligo under the ‘OfferAHome’ appeal to essential services as agreed in the Service Level Agreement between Sligo LEADER Partnership Company and Sligo County Council.

Main Duties 
 
  • Works closely with the Community Car Drivers to ensure that the community car transport service is delivered efficiently and effectively.  
  • Administer the Community Car booking system:  
  • Take bookings by phone/email and co-ordinate trips based on availability and urgency. 
  • Keep detailed records of all bookings and trips.  
  • Ensure all bookings meet the requirements as laid out in the Community Car Service Level Agreement.  
  • Liaise with the Drivers to ensure vehicle maintenance and any related paperwork is up to date. 
  • Promote the Community Car service within the eligible Ukrainian Community.  
  • Displays respect, courtesy and a considerate approach to service users.  
  • Ensures confidentiality in respect of service users and nature of trips undertaken.  
  • To provide administrative supports to the SICAP team.  
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.   
  • Attend team meetings and training where required.  

 

Core Competencies/Skills & Knowledge    
1  Language skills  

 

Fluency in English both written and oral. Spoken Ukrainian is essential.  
2  Interpersonal  skills  

 

Empathetic attitude and ability to gain understanding and insight of requirements of the Ukrainian community.  
3  Communication Skills 

 

Strong oral and written communication skills, including professional phone manner.  
4  Organisational Skills  Be self-motivated, pro-active and able to work independently as well as in team. Great attention to detail and accuracy.  
5  Computer Skills  Good computer skills, use of Microsoft Office, Social Media  
6  Knowledge  Understanding of the geographical lay-out of County Sligo  
Desirable Experience 

 

  • Previous experience in a phone based administrative role (at least 1 year)  
  • Prior experience in a customer service role preferred  
Desirable Qualifications  
  • A good standard of general education 
  • Good Computer Skills  
  • QQI Level 5 in Business or Administration (an advantage) 
Salary   €16,825
