Strandhill Community Park

The Community Park was awarded €149,586 of LEADER aid in a bid to make the ark. This innovative proposal is to turn the park into Sligo’s first environmentally friendly green park by providing a rain harvesting and irrigation system. The project is also supported by RSS and TÚS.

The walk was developed and is maintained under the Walks Scheme which is managed by the Rural Recreation Officer. Maintenance works are undertaken by an RSS Walks task force.

The Open Studio Online Art Project

As part of our programme of arts in the community under the SICAP programme, we ran the OPEN STUDIO ONLINE Project.

Biz Kids – Young Entrepreneur Programme

A collaboration with Bank of Ireland that allows for the DEIS school to receive the opportunities that develop and widen the knowledge of their students in the ins and outs of designing, setting up and running a business idea.

IT Sligo and AbbVie Educational Programme

Sligo LEADER Partnership collaborate on a yearly basis with IT Sligo and AbbVie to encourage and promote STEM within DEIS schools in South West of Sligo.

Parent and Children Art Workshops

Parent and Children Art workshops were run in conjunction with MSLETB.

Family based activity programme at Caltragh Community Centre

Sligo LEADER Partnership worked with Caltragh Community Centre to provide a family based activity programme.

Cranmore Easter Project
