Strandhill Community Park

This innovative proposal is to turn the park into Sligo’s first environmentally friendly green park by providing a rain harvesting and irrigation system. The project is also supported by RSS and TÚS.
Lough Easkey Looped Walk
Community Project Case Studies, Employment, Tús and RSS Case Studies, Rural Recreation Case StudiesThe walk was developed and is maintained under the Walks Scheme which is managed by the Rural Recreation Officer. Maintenance works are undertaken by an RSS Walks task force.

Community Project Case Studies, Employment, Tús and RSS Case StudiesBallisodare astro pitch and Sports complex are located in Young’s Quarry in Ballisodare. Ballisodare Astro Pitch was awarded €200,000 of LEADER aid and Ballisodare Sports Complex was awarded €138,058 of LEADER Aid.

Community Project Case StudiesSligo LEADER Partnership were successful in making an application in conjunction with Connacht GAA to develop the world’s largest sports air dome in Bekan, Co. Mayo.

Community Project Case Studies, Employment, Tús and RSS Case StudiesThe club has been supported by 2 different awards of LEADER Grant aid; one of €200,000 towards the completion of the Club house and community space and another grant of €24,828 towards developing remote working and conferencing facilities in the building. The Club is also supported by the Rural Social Scheme.

Coolaney Development

Coolaney village also benefits from both Rural Social Scheme and TÚS support to village maintenance, ensuring their award-winning status!
