Merville Community Centre serves over 2000 families in the West Ward of Sligo Town. The centre offers state of the art childcare, sporting and community facilities.
Merville Community Centre has been supported by participants on the TÚS programme who have supported the provision of childcare and afterschool services. Participants have also assisted in the Centre’s maintenance and caretaking. Many of the participants have been retained by the centre in paid employment or have been taken on to the centre’s CE scheme.
Merville has provided a really positive and supportive environment for participants with the Management and Board taking care and interest in the participants’ roles and endeavouring to offer employment when possible.
