Voya Seaweed Baths

VOYA Seaweed Baths are located on the Promenade in Strandhill. They currently offer 6 single seaweed bathing rooms and two deluxe rooms with two baths each – a total of 10 seaweed baths.

The ground floor also houses 3 small treatment rooms to provide VOYA certified organic massages, wraps and skins treatments.

In 2019, VOYA Seaweed Baths treatment area was operating at 90% of its annual capacity and is open all year round. During peak summer months, June to September, the business has recorded demand for services in excess of three times that capacity.

They applied for LEADER funding to support the expansion of the ground floor premises and develop the upstairs section of this building to incorporate

  • Five new treatment rooms – with options for the business to convert to a seaweed bathing room.
  • Additional double seaweed bathing room
  • New dedicated male and female changing rooms
  • A large relaxation area with a panoramic view of the Wild Atlantic Way
  • Open up reception area for more relax and seating area for customers
  • Provision of lift access for visitors with additional mobility needs

This development will be supported with infrastructural upgrades which will incorporate advanced water and energy efficient operations including upgraded heat recovery systems and solar energy power initiatives.

The expansion will assist in creating an additional 25 jobs.
