Ways to Wellness Programme

Pre-employment Training

We have extended registration for our Ways to Wellness programme.

Two FREE online workshops will help participants to to learn techniques to lower their stress and anxiety, particular surrounding unemployment and rejoining the workforce.

It will run on dates throughout the year to ensure as many people who want to, can join in.

Priority will be give to anyone unemployed and those in receipt of a Social Welfare payment.

Fit 2 Work Skills Programme

Pre-employment Training

The Fit2Work Skills Programme provides 17 free eLearning courses (50 hours) that will help you to up skill and be job ready as our economy opens up fully again.

You can complete the courses at your own pace and receive certification on completion of all 17 courses. We will provide ongoing support as you complete each course.

What type of courses are included?

PART 1: IT Skills: Essential computer literacy skills that everyone needs.

This section is delivered over 30 hours and includes 6 courses:

  1. Microsoft Excel Skills
  2. Microsoft Outlook Skills
  3. Microsoft Word Skills
  4. Microsoft Teams
  5. Microsoft PowerPoint Skills
  6. Cyber Security

These are Microsoft approved courses and will include assessments and certification.

PART 2: Personal Skills: Essential skills that all employers look for.

This section is delivered over 16 hours and includes 8 courses.

  1. Critical Thinking
  2. Problem Solving
  3. Organisational Skills
  4. Presentation Skills
  5. Effective communication Skills
  6. Effective Time Management Skills
  7. Emotional Intelligence
  8. Team-working Skills

These courses will be delivered by expert trainers and will include assessments and certification.

PART 3: Career Skills: Skills and practical techniques to getting that job

This section is delivered over 4 hours and includes 3 courses:

  1. How to Succeed at Writing Applications
  2. How to sell Yourself and Interview Techniques
  3. Job Hunting Techniques to get Hired Faster

To qualify for the course:

  • To qualify for the online courses you would need to be registered and eligible for the SICAP Programme. Priority will be given to anyone unemployed, low income or in vulnerable employment or those in receipt of a Social Welfare payment.

Manual Handling Training

Pre-employment Training

Manual Handling is the transporting or supporting of a load that involves lifting, putting down, pushing pulling, carrying or moving.

Many people hurt their back, arms, hands or feet lifting everyday loads, not just lifting heavy objects. The Manual Handling Training course identifis best health and safety practices and will provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to correctly pre-assess, lift, carry and lower objects.

To qualify for the course:

  • To qualify for the online courses you would need to be registered and eligible for the SICAP Programme. Priority will be given to anyone unemployed, low income or in vulnerable employment or those in receipt of a Social Welfare payment.

Customer Service Training will assist the learners in creating a positive and professional impression when dealing with customers.

They will gain a better understanding of customer service in the workplace in order that they will be job ready for a customer service or business support role in a range of industries.

Pre-employment Training

Safe Pass is designed to raise the standard of safety awareness in the Construction Industry.

Ensure that all site personnel undergo basic and safety awareness training with the view to making a positive contribution to the prevention of accidents and avoidance of health hazards.

 The Skills Connect ( Identify Transferable Natural Skills and Abilities Workshop) will help you to understand your own natural strengths and what you do best.

It will make you aware of other ways to use these skills in different areas of your work and life. By identifying these skills and examining how to use them in all different areas of your life, you will gain huge self-development and open new opportunities for growth and change.

Personal Effectiveness Workshop

Pre-employment Training

The Personal Effectiveness Workshop will help you to understand and build your communication skills alongside delving into your personal motivation, confidence, self-esteem and self-awareness.

Learning more about all of this will help you communicate and develop not only your work life but your day to day life.

The workshop will also cover Time Management and Goal Setting. How to manage your time to get the most out of your day and week so that you reach your goals no matter how big or small they are.

To qualify for the course:
