Sligo BID has been awarded LEADER grant aid of €11,737 for “Meet in Sligo” a conferencing initiative and €43,651 for the upgrade of Sligo’s Christmas lights. Sligo BID has also provided the TÚS programme with some of its most varied and interesting placements in the last number of years.
Tubbercurry FRC is supported by LEADER with a grant of €34,068 to develop an outside space and a Multi-Usage Games area and by participants of the Rural Social Scheme.
The Community Park was awarded €149,586 of LEADER aid in a bid to make the ark. This innovative proposal is to turn the park into Sligo’s first environmentally friendly green park by providing a rain harvesting and irrigation system. The project is also supported by RSS and TÚS.

Located beside the local National School, the playground services over 1000 children in this rural community and was developed by Keash Village Enhancement who were awarded €82,491 of LEADER aid towards the project.

Ballisodare astro pitch and Sports complex are located in Young’s Quarry in Ballisodare. Ballisodare Astro Pitch was awarded €200,000 of LEADER aid and Ballisodare Sports Complex was awarded €138,058 of LEADER Aid.
Sligo LEADER Partnership were successful in making an application in conjunction with Connacht GAA to develop the world’s largest sports air dome in Bekan, Co. Mayo.
